I wish I could say my Valentines day was 100% perfect. It's close but I have two mid-terms tomorrow so for the majority of my weekend and today I spent studying and cramming. How fun. My boyfriend made my day though. He got me flowers and treated me out to a nice dinner. Of course, a nice restaurant means an excuse to dress less casually.

Everything on this outfit is thrifted except my mothers pearl necklaces and the tights are from Addition-Elle.

My boyfriends shirt is like 2 sizes too big on him, haha!
I didn't want to go all-out. I wanted to use a nice dress while still keeping my style with having my polka-dotted cardigan. The only ~red in my outfit was the shoes. Which, by the way, wasn't so bad considering the slushy snow here we've been having. So here's some pictures from today and the past weekend, enjoy!

Have a great St. Valentines!
Happy Valentine's Day! Those flowers are beautiful, as are you and your outfit.
ReplyDeleteOh how sweet! You guys look loving together and the dress that you have on is beautiful and floaty and altogether pretty! Pity about the mid terms that you had to cram for else you might have an even more enjoyable time!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely day! I really like your outfit too.

loooooove the dress!
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day. That restaurant looks very fancy. I love the pop of red in your special going out...outfit. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't like the red shoes or pearls. And the cardigan is a little too casual for your dress?
ReplyDelete@Anon: If you actually bothered to read my entry I did say that I wanted the outfit to still be me without being too fancy. Wearing a blazer made it look too frumpy and I dislike all black. So there. Thanks for stopping by, though. :)
ReplyDeleteI actually did read your blog. I'm a fan, but obviously you don't accept criticism.
ReplyDelete@Anon: I do, but if you're going to pose a question in which an answer has already been provided and explained IN the blog post, then why bother asking it? Nothing personal anon, it's just a big pet peeve of mine. Especially when you have a little brother who asks you questions but knows the answer/the answer is literally in their face. Thank you for your input but I'll have to disagree with you, I still like my look and if I went any fancier I think I'd look too overdressed (yes, scoff at that) at that restaurant, lol.
ReplyDeleteyour boyfriend is so sweet

ReplyDeleteOMG. That dress is the cutest! Goodluck on your midterms!

ReplyDeleteAww, you two are so cute! I actually really like that the cardigan pulls the dress back a little. I mean how many of us really went all out black tie, $500/plate dinners? lol. Best of luck on your tests today!

ReplyDeleteThat outfit is soooo adorable. You're giving us a lot of sexy secretary around here. I love it! The red peep toes give the whole outfit that extra punch to knock it right out of the box. Looking good, girl! Happy belated Valentine's day!
