153.

Just getting back into the swing of things. School, a bit of part time work, and studying. After the odd snowfall in May, the sun decided to rear its head. I'm glad for that as I love exposing leg!

Romper Forever 21 | Cardigan City Chic | Belt Thrifted | Shoes Style 369

It was nice out so I wore my romper. One thing that annoyed me is it was too flowy that it kind of gaped a bit, giving the illusion of tightness or camel toe, which I did not have. I SWEAR. Stupid photos. I still love it nonetheless, but it is quite annoying! I love the cardigan from City Chic - I ordered in a Medium, fits perfectly, and the fabric is soft - I love it so much. I like mixing patterns, and this is what I did with my leopard flats.

For Canadians - did anyone else watch the election last night? I'm still quite gutted over the result. CONSERVATIVE MAJORITY. Ugh. I'm still so mad. I knew that Jack Layton as a Prime Minister is a dream and a fantasy, but honestly, anyone but Harper! I hate Stephen Harper and I'm going to express that on my blog... It really bothers me when young people or anyone for that matter don't exercise their privilege and rights to vote. I honestly spoke with some people on campus and the response was appalling. It was along the lines of, "I don't care" or "I'm too lazy" or "My TV show is on." Voting is fast and you have the official election day and 3 advanced days to vote... really, if people aren't going to vote then they should shut up when they complain about the government. Sorry I'm going on a political rant here on my blog, but it's something that I'm clearly feeling quite strongly about. I guess it's another 4 years of ... well, we'll see. Let's just hope it's not what I feared it to be.

Until next time!

  1. I love that cardigan, I bought it too during the big sale.

As for the elections, ugh! My partner (from Saskatchewan/Alberta) and I were appaled by how Canadians voted but we were so proud of Québec!

  3. Well, you know my thoughts! Haha. I'm still enraged.

However, you look adorable! I love this romper on you.

  4. You look gorgeous! The romper/cardigan combo is so cute!

I was also really dissapointed with the election results. I believe most of my friends voted, and I didn't speak to anyone my age who was politically apathetic, so that's good. But I'm really unhappy about the Harper majority.

  6. i really adore this outfit. love the romper (although rompers look crappy on me, so i kind of wish it was a dress so i could run out and buy it, haha), and the cardi is cute. i'm always on the search for a cute red cardi!

  9. I love that cardigan - the bow adds extra 'oomph' to a pretty common item, and it looks so soft. Love the pairing with the stripped romper!

Totally agree with you 100% on the election results. I almost cried a little. 4 YEARS seems like forever!! Plus, in my local riding the same conservative guy who I DO NOT like won AGAIN (this is his 3rd time, like Harper). *sigh* What do we do?

  10. Love the romper! Share your disappointment with the election, though.. I could kind of see the winds were blowing towards another Harper gov't, but I don't think I expected a majority. Doesn't bode well for ontario provincial elections.. we're going to have conservatives in Toronto city hall, queen's park AND ottawa? ugh, i'm moving to Trois Rivieres...

  12. UGH. I'm disgusted with the way our generation seems to think that their vote doesn't count. Even if you aren't educated, it doesn't take a long time to go on each party's website to read the platforms...or even vote by going by your gut!! AGHHHH. Ignatieff and Duceppe losing their ridings was painful and embarrassing at the same time.

Although I'm not keen on a Conservative majority, I am happy NDP made the minority. History has been made!! I interviewed Jack Layton once, and he is a nice man!!

Anyways, cute romper and cute outfit!! Sorry about the election ranting :P

  13. No need to be sorry! I love stuff like that. Go ahead and rant. No one else in my house seems to care about the future of our country but me (and maybe my boyfriend.) I actually used to support the Conservative party (yes I am ashamed, but I was like a teenager when I did) and after getting educated, I don't even know what I was thinking supporting the Torries! NDP all the way. I actually didn't like Jack due to an irrational hatred of his moustache, LOL. My friend worked with Jack Layton and she has nothing but good things to say about the man... plus, he was a total babe when he was younger. Seriously!

  15. Let's only hope things can get better the next 4 years.
I'm lucky that my province seems to be a NDP-centric place, if I recall, our premier supports the NDP.

  16. :( Just have to wait it out.
I hope Canada learns its lesson by the time it does.

  17. I'm still unhappy about it. My friends and co-workers are NDP supporters and are passionate about voting.. on the otherhand, the rest of my acquaintances simply don't give a shit. Which is totally upsetting.

    Thank you btw!

Yes! I am proud of Quebec too. LOL for the Bloc. I like Gilles Duceppe but not his party.
