Everything Thrifted.
Gonna ease the tension here on my blog with an outfit I wore last Saturday. It was my cousins wedding and to be honest I don't own a lot of dresses that fit for that occasion. This was the closest I got.

I also have to gush that I love these platform shoes I got from Goodwill. SO comfortable. I'm also pleased that these days, a lot of my outfits are more thrifted than they are bought from a store at the mall. Go me! I also suck at accessorizing, that is probably my main weakness. How do you jazz up an outfit without going too overboard on accessories?
Until next time.
amazing!! you are the thrifting queen!
ReplyDeleteYou are the queen in general. ;)
ReplyDeleteI have never managed to find any dresses at the thrift store that a) don't look like mumus and b) fit me. One day I will find one, though. Mark my words. =)

basic accessories in a bright colour! like belts, shoes, tights, etc.
ReplyDeleteI accessorize based off of focal points of the outfit. In this case the dress has cute ruffles at the neck and wrists, so I wouldn't try and add a necklace or bracelet. I would probably do earrings and a cute handbag for this one.
ReplyDeleteLove the polka dots. (My closet is lacking anything dotted, which means I am riveted to the screen whenever someone shows how chic and classic it can be. Moving "anything polka-dotted" to the top of my thrifting list ...)
ReplyDeleteI like Cassykin's advice. I also avoid wearing too much in one area of the body - if I'm wearing a flashy ring, I usually skip the bracelets; if I'm wearing a statement necklace, I go with small, understated earrings or none at all. Of course, it depends on personal style -- some people pile it on and rock it. :)
LOVE the polka dot dress! Can't believe that it's thrifted! I definitely need to go with you sometime!

You look lovely! And I'm so jealous of your thrifting luck! I never find cute shoes while thrifting, but yours are adorable!
ReplyDeleteSOOOO adorable! UGH! I could just eat you up... I love the dress. I can't believe everything is thrifted. That is such a cute dress. With this, I wouldn't do anything overpowering; a dainty gold necklace or bracelet, small earrings. The dress stands alone. I would love to see it with an updo.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! You always have really amazing thrift finds. <3
ReplyDeleteCute! I can't believe you thrifted those great shoes! :)
ReplyDeletePolka dots!!! <3 I love, love, love polka dots. You look awesome and I ♥ your glasses!
ReplyDeleteA bright clutch would add a pop of color to the outfit. I agree that the dress has too much going on at the neck and wrists to try a bracelet or necklace.
ReplyDeleteI do not know if I will ever get over your sassy adorableness. For serious! (Also, great call on the goodwill shoes! People don't know what they're missing!)
ReplyDeletePersonally, I try to use a really BOLD accessory, like a scarf... That or wear a bold bright pair of shoes and a purse the pops!
I accessorize with scarves and rings, or bracelets. Or, a simple but elegant hair style can really get the jazz groove going. :)
ReplyDeleteNot only your dress and shoes are cute, but your hair looks great!
ReplyDeleteAdorable outfit. Very cute blog. X
