133. (Keeping it simple)

As the title says. No fancy pussy bows, no sparkly skirts, no prints, just sticking to the basics. I love to wear reds and blacks together. This outfit is no exception.

Nothing much to say in terms of my life. I've got papers to write and 2 exams this week. D'oh. Hopefully it'll be less hectic. But I am scrambling and taking a break. I am so tired, too! Gotta cram for that exam tomorrow... I've been studying since last week but there's just so much information. :( I can't wait till I'm not a student and I can do my career.

I was supposed to go to the Festival Du Voyageur last week, but it seems I waited until today. :p I have kind of two outfits but not really... I wore one outfit to go out to sushi with my boyfriend then another to walk and frolic in the snow. Anyway, without further ado, here's the pictures! (Sorry if I have to put different resolutions/image sizes, some won't fit on my blog boo hoo.)

Since it was horribly cold (-14 C but with windchill -32 C) we went back home for a bit and changed into appropriate wear to walk around outside. I am so grateful for my ASOS faux fur coat, I get compliments on it at least a few times each week and it does keep me warm and stylin' if I do say so myself.

Hey everyone! Long time no outfit post, haha. Well it's been a couple of days already, so...
Today I spent my Sunday going out to lunch with my parents (TOGETHER, gasp! They're divorced haha) and my brother and boyfriend. No pictures but we went out for tea and dim sum. So good! I'm happy too because everyone was friendly and civilized, hehehe.

Yesterday though I had a stressful night. My little baby pug decided she would eat rat poison. Oh my god. I was tweeting about it yesterday. I rushed her to the Vet ER but damn, it's a big dent on our wallets. Quite upset about that but my baby is okay now. Yay! I told my mother not to put those damn rat poisons around our house. Sigh. Well, yeah that's that.











Today also since it's a long weekend the museum decided to open for free! So my boyfriend and I went and got to go around the museum exhibits, and I'm surprised, my boyfriend hates Winnipeg / is bored of this city but he was actually quite impressed with out museum. Especially the ship! So cool!

Well that's that for today. I'm going to go to the French Winter festival tomorrow, I'll have pictures of that for sure.

130. (Igigi Review + Giveaway)

Hey everyone! I have recently been contacted by Igigi by Yuliya Raquel to do a review on one of their dresses of my choosing! So I chose the Babette Curvy Dress because I didn't want to choose a cocktail dress or anything, as it wasn't really my thing, I don't often wear those so I chose something I would most likely wear on a day-to-day basis.





Alright, let's get started. So I ordered this dress in a 22 because on the website it looked like it would run small or something. It's actually a stretchy forgiving fabric, I would say almost body-con like as it clings onto my body. So shapewear is a must if you don't want lumps and bumps. It is a pretty dress for the office and it looks just like it does on the website, except I think the blue is a tad bit brighter in person than on the website. (The colour may be a bit skewed on my camera because of the settings, but it's pretty close to the pictures). Normally it's something I would belt, but I wanted you guys to see the waist detail of the dress so there it is. Again, a problem I have is that it's too long on my body, but that's just a preference of mine. I like my stuff shorter, at least knee length. This goes past the knee for me for sure.

All in all, I'd give this dress 4 out of 5 stars. The dress is obviously well made as it is thick and perfect for cold offices, haha. There's not much faults to it except maybe I didn't expect such a stretchy/body hugging dress. I usually wear a 20 so I'm kind of glad I sized up or else it'd probably cling all over. Also, for some reason, there's lines on the dress where my belly is, that's my tights waist showing I think, and it just shows how really clingy the dress is. (My tights aren't shapewear! :P)

129. (St. Valentine 2011)

I wish I could say my Valentines day was 100% perfect. It's close but I have two mid-terms tomorrow so for the majority of my weekend and today I spent studying and cramming. How fun. My boyfriend made my day though. He got me flowers and treated me out to a nice dinner. Of course, a nice restaurant means an excuse to dress less casually.





Everything on this outfit is thrifted except my mothers pearl necklaces and the tights are from Addition-Elle.





My boyfriends shirt is like 2 sizes too big on him, haha!

I didn't want to go all-out. I wanted to use a nice dress while still keeping my style with having my polka-dotted cardigan. The only ~red in my outfit was the shoes. Which, by the way, wasn't so bad considering the slushy snow here we've been having. So here's some pictures from today and the past weekend, enjoy!

Hello everyone! I'm back with an outfit post and a video post, actually. So let's start off with the video. I'm just going to put a disclaimer I may or may have not been cursing in the video, I take lots of pauses and I'm not very good at articulating on some things, LOL. So beware for you guys! It's 10 minutes because I often go off tangent on stuff, but I think I did a good job. I didn't edit it so if it's weird, sorry. I don't know how to edit on iMovie. :(

So for those interested in my day/outfit, I'll just say I went thrifting (and found a cool box, haha. Sounds so lame but it's so cute! I might photograph it one day) and I went out to sushi because I had been craving it. Like always. SO SOME OBLIGATORY FOOD PORN FOR Y'ALL.



Overall I liked my outfit. I wish Spring was here but it is not. So I'm gonna prance around in skirts, florals and tights even though it's all sloshy and gross outside. It's spring in my heart, alright?

127. (Sweet!)

Short day at work today. Well, Mondays are usually the best days out of the whole week. I get to sleep in, hehe!



Well today my boyfriend and I stopped by to buy Indian Sweets at Punjab Sweet House... if you haven't guessed by the name already it's an Indian Bakery but it also is a restaurant and they have a full vegetarian buffet for like $6 I believe. I've never been but many people rave about the place -- and honestly judging by their sweets and their delicious samosas (which is like $4-6 I think for a full dozen. They're huge samosas that could be a meal in itself) it's definitely a place to stop by if you're a fan of Indian food and from Winnipeg.



Yes, the box is chalk full of sweets but I also shared with others, we have a lot more left and I'm probably gonna end up freezing them or refrigerating them as they last a while anyway. My favourite one is the chocolate burfi (for some reason it's not in the picture haha... I didn't even eat anything when I took this picture) it's like fudge and a cheesecake with that aftertaste you usually get from Indian sweets. It's not cardamom but it's at least a spice or flavour that I can't quite get right. Hm.

I am loving these tights I got from Simons! They're super roomy and I am definitely bigger than what it said on the size chart. I also love my moms boots that I 'borrowed' haha, but it's ok me and my mom borrow each others accessories and shoes all the time so it's no biggie. These boots are warm and comfy!

Besides going to get sweets me and my boyfriend went to the 50% off Value Village sale. I have thrifted so many things this past weekend, now I am definitely on a shopping ban, haha. I've gotten SO many good stuff, I can't wait to show you guys!

My new years resolution is to try and remix as many things as possible. Well, that's what I did here. Everything in this outfit is completely remixed.

I love this tent dress because it's slouchy and lazy and comfortable, which encompasses a lot of what I like. I'm going to my dads house for the weekend with my boyfriend so it's going to be a bit relaxed. :) Except of course for the bit I'm going to go out for sushi tomorrow and then go thrift shopping which I haven't done for a while, so I'm excited! (Plus it's 50% off Value Village stuff on Monday, woo hoo.)
