254.

Today, I realised I missed school. I never realised it until today, really. I went to school today to meet up with a friend. Walking around campus, seeing the classrooms - everything. I just miss the environment and the feeling of 'doing something' ... being occupied. Is it weird to say I miss the stress academia puts on me? It's not just that - but opportunities and excuses to wear 'nice things' can be done at school.

Cardigan and Shoes Thrifted (similar cardigan here, shoes here) | Dress ASOS Curve (similar here) | Bag Manels (similar here) | Socks Jacob Connection

It's fun being at home and all, but I admit I sit around in my underwear or leggings with an oversized sweater doing (almost) nothing all day.

I relish the days I can go out. I don't drive because I'm too much of a chicken, and my fiance works days. There's only so much work I can do during the summer - sure, I read, but I don't work as much because of the lack of hours.
Only two more months! I know I'll regret saying this once school hits and I'm stressed beyond measure.

Until next time.

  3. Its been so hot where I live I have no desire to dress up in anything more than a tshirt and shorts. I love how you're wearing a cardigan, I miss cardis :(
I know what you mean about missing school. I think it's just so there's something to do. You can do nothing for so long and then it's like "Okay, lets go work on something.. I'm bored!"

  4. Ha, that's exactly it! I HATE DOING NOTHING. It gives me anxiety attacks and literal headaches. It's actually quite hot here (in the 20s - 30s C) but since you're in Michigan (I believe) that heat wave must be insane! I hope it passes. x

  12. Summer is dull. The only thing I -kind of like- about it is the weather and not wearing parkas... x

  14. This is such a pretty monochromatic outfit. I love the pop of floral the bag brings to it. It's just the right touch!

I can't say that I miss going to school, but I used to have a few chosen activities that I miss now. I'm in a similar boat as you - I don't drive, don't work, I just try to keep busy around the house. A family friend actually gave me the title of "stay at home daughter". haha It's so true though!! I guess just relish in the quiet/non-stressful moments you have now and make the best of it. :)

  16. Hi Gazel, I just stumbled across your blog and couldnt help but be fascinated with it. I was feel very low and self-conscious about my body when i found it, and i had to comment. You completely lifted my spirit with your enthusiasm about being who you are and not caring what other people think. The fact that you are comfortable with your body is really inspiring, and you have just become a role-model to me.
